Turbonetics Product Update 1: New shade of color on GT-K series Turbochargers

The compressor housings used for Turbonetics GT-K series turbochargers have been updated with a minor color change.

The original compressor housings featured a darker shade of gunmetal gray, formerly called "black chrome" finish

Updated compressor housings feature a lighter shade of gunmetal gray

All GT-K standard features; including the Enhanced Map Porting, will carry over with new housings.

Once stock is depleted on original compressor housings, all GT-K series turbochargers will be manufactured with the updated compressor housings.
This product update covers all GT-K series turbochargers; including oil-cooled and oil/liquid-cooled setups.

Turbonetics Product Update 2: New V-band discharge turbine housing on select GT-K series turbochargers

The turbine housings for select GT-K series turbochargers (GT-K 450/500/550) have been updated with a V-band discharge.
The original turbine housings on these select units featured a 4-bolt discharge.
Updated turbine housings feature a 3-inch V-band discharge for ease of installation.

Questions and Answers

GT-K features

Q: What else is changed?

A: Compressor housing color and select turbine housing discharge are the only changes. All GT-K features, including the Enhanced Map Porting (compressor housing) and ceramic coating (turbine housing), will carry over.

Existing Product Warranty

Q: Are existing GT-K turbochargers voiding the Turbonetics warranty?

A: No. These updates do not affect existing warranties.

Quality issues

Q: Did a quality issue cause this?

A: No. The update is due to availability of the original finish materials. The updated color will provide the same durable finish as the original color.
