Default Need to add fuel pump for start up

Seems my belt driven pump doesn't want to stay primed because the car takes a while to start until the motor turns over enough to build at least 6-10 lbs of pressure. I'm thinking of adding an electric pump to prime it and build pressure just to start it, then let the belt pump take over. and shut off the electric pump.. is there a way to connect this into my current fuel system? i only have one 12 an fitting coming out the fuel cell .where should i put the pump and how do i incorporate it in without interfering with the flow? I don't think i need a big pump ,so what would you recommend ? Does anyone have a diagram of this? The car is EFI .
