yes solid roller is my plan, i just broke a hydro roller lifter in my current stock block 347 so now that everything is apart i am going to switch to the solid roller and put my internals in a ford...

I just scored a virgin a4 block for a 347 build up.

I need to know what prep is required to make it ready to run. from my understanding they need to be decked, bored/honed, and aligned honed.

i calculated the compression @ 11:1. heads are 58cc's now, 5400 is true stall speed on the transbrake, gears are 4.56 and 28x10 slicks

that is impressive.

my crank is 28oz.

i see the biggest difference in our cars is that you are stick shifted. i run a c-4 auto.

LOL, not yet, no budget for an R block yet, already budgeted for some team z stuff, just wating for race season to end before tearing into the car.

6.30's out of a 306, thats flying! I should be able to do it with a 347 with a little work.

how high were you spinning you 306? what kind of heads? 60fts.?

current 60fts are 1.44-1.46

i know i can get about 100 to 140 more lbs off the car, (still have the factory k-member) i want to get the car down to 6.40 in the 1/8th mile.

I did not use the SFI book since i did not need any 25.x kinda stuff, used the NHRA rule book. Tubing is 1 5/8 X .134 thick. i used 6x6 plates welded to the floor. ...

i have an 8.8 rear end that has been narrowed 2 inches/side. has the following parts:

4.56 gear
33 spline mosers axles 1/2-20 screw in studs
33 spline spool
new style big bearing 9 inch axles...
