Safe lash on unknown cam.

I no longer can find my build sheet for my engine. I'm running a "Cam Dynamics" solid FT bump stick and don't remember the lash settings. (Yes, I had a pet dinosaur when this engine was built...lol.)...

4 hole spacer vs open on a dual plane

Anybody ever try an open 1'' spacer on a RPM intake instead of a 4 hole like I run now. My thought is that the 4 hole gives a stronger signal below the plates were as an open would only help RPM....

E7s to GT40s

E7s to GT40s on a stock 88 roller block.

I was given a nice set of untouched GT40s. I am presently running a stock 88 roller long block with aftermarket springs and 1.7 RRs. "IF" I just do a...

Re: Foxbody clutch quadrants

I've never taken the fire wall flex into consideration. I can see it with a larger assembly. I let loose on the Cougar the other day and hit a questionable shift into 3rd. This pissed me off as I...

Re: Need to add fuel pump for start up

This may sound cheezey but if you are going to run starting fluid, go to a heavy truck shop and ask for a starting fluid assist kit. Basically it's just a holder mounted to the fire wall with a line...

Re: We need more action here.

Sounds good. If you put the information where it can be found easily, it will draw more interest. Some people are just too lazy to use the search function so they start a new thread which is an...

Re: Head Angles (not valves)

Dennis, is there any way to mic the thickness of the intake gaskets on the top, then the bottom to check for a variance? Just thinking out loud here.

Re: Darin testing the new suspension

Nice runs. Straight...even after the bumper rub. As far as air time goes, I believe if you're going up, you`re not going forward....however I wouldn't have it any other way!

Re: whats the limit on a mechanical fuel pump??

Install a temporary fuel gauge. I have used a cheapo gauge and just ran it between the hood and cowl and duct taped it to the windshield. This is a Micky Mouse way but after 1 run it will confirm...

Re: whats the limit on a mechanical fuel pump??

Not a good idea. I've seen an elect pump used in a "boost" application rupture the diaphragm in the mech pump and feed fuel into the crankcase. IF you are going to run an elect pump, drop the mech...

Re: whats the limit on a mechanical fuel pump??

EDIT: That pump rating will supply a 450 HP big...

Re: Foxbody clutch quadrants

As crude as this sounds, I have removed the pedal and bent it in a vise to change the pedal height to suit my driving comfort without changing the preload.....and yes I have a FW adjuster.

Re: Foxbody clutch quadrants

The answer for you is to use the quick release HOWEVER be advised that it is less forgiving on the street as the clutch will engage faster in traffic until you get used to it.

Re: What gear for a Coyote motor?

You can always fine tune with tire size depending on what size you start with.
